Infantry Glory Day

The Day of the Infantry Glories is celebrated every June 7 in Chile in memory of the victory in the Asalto and Toma del Morro de Arica. This event enjoys a good level of recognition throughout the general population, although there is no regulation that officially establishes this celebration.

The celebration of the Day of the Glories of the Infantry dates back to the decade of the 30s where, this date is mentioned in a list of anniversaries of acts of arms that the National Army remembered annually.

Tourette Syndrome Awareness Day

On the other hand, Tourette Syndrome Awareness Day is celebrated on June 7 because this is the date proposed by the European Society for the Study of Tourette Syndrome, in honor of Dr. Mary Robertson; scientist who has written more than 100 works dedicated to the understanding and intervention of this condition.

In our country, Tourette Syndrome Awareness Day was established since 2019 by Law 21,098.
