Huaso Day

Within the Month of the Homeland, the Week of the Huaso stands out, which is celebrated on September 17. During this day, the figure of the huaso, the iconic Chilean cowboy, is highlighted, and rodeos, horse riding and huasas skill competitions are held. The participants wear typical costumes and demonstrate their skill in horseback riding, lassoing and carrying out activities related to life in the countryside.
